Electronic waste (e-waste) refers to the disposal of broken or obsolete electronic components and materials. E-waste material may be valuable and recyclable, such as random access memory and reusable. E-waste is created from anything electronic: computers, TVs, monitors, cell phones, PDAs, VCRs, CD players, fax machines, printers, etc. ... Most electronics that are improperly thrown away contain some form of harmful materials such as beryllium, cadmium, mercury, and lead. E-waste is very harmful to us as it. When e-waste is warmed up, toxic chemicals are released into the air damaging the atmosphere. The damage to the atmosphere is one of the biggest environmental impacts of e-waste. Therefore we need to recycle e-waste to keep safe from our environment.
Did you know India is the 4th largest producer of e-waste in the world? Yet we only recycle responsibly less than 3% of our total e-waste. To cure this problem we have started a campaign with Karo Sambhav. Karo Sambhav is an electronic waste PRO offering solutions for e-waste management and EPR Services in India. We have set up a dedicated toll-free number via which we will be collecting in any of your old e-waste directly from your home. After picking it up we will send it to the Karo Sambhav team which will send it to the e-waste disposal center and will recycle it so that it can be used more. We successfully conducted a workshop related to e-waste on 29 January 2020 where Adcom and Karo Sambhav team spread the awareness about e-waste and informed our team about the social implications of e-waste and why it's important to efficiently manage e-waste in an organized manner.
Let's take a pledge to create a movement to efficiently recycle all of our e-waste. For more information on this, please feel free to reach out to us on 8800-977-978 or info@adcomhitech.com.
